Die Börsenkönigin plot

Helene Netzler (Asta Nielsen) is a businesswoman and co-owner of a nearly depleted copper mine in which she owns the majority of the shares. She is in love with the manager of the mine, Lindholm (Aruth Wartan). When Lindholm informs her that he has discovered a new well, Helene makes him co-owner of this new mine as a thank you. But when Helene finds out that Lindholm has a secret relationship with her niece Lina, she takes revenge. Despite the warning from the mine's Superintendent (Willy Kaiser-Heyl), she opens the mine for further drilling. This ultimately has tragic consequences.
