Ushiro no Shoumen Daare plot
Kayoko is a young girl in 1940 who is just starting first grade. She likes to play with her friends, sing songs and have fun every now and then with her three brothers. Her mother is pregnant and she is looking forward to becoming a big sister, only she does not yet realize the responsibilities that will entail. Meanwhile, the war is spreading, and of course she is very patriotic and helps the country. Kayoko even donates her favorite doll because the parts can be used to make explosives. Time passes, and as she grows older she realizes the consequences of the war. Nothing can prepare her for 1945, dark times are coming.
