Call of the Wild plot
John Thornton is the second son of an owner of a large Seattle wood processing company. His father, an authoritarian man, assumes that his sons will take over the company, but John thinks otherwise. He flees the family home to try his luck during the Yukon gold rush. On his journey he meets the Indian Charlie and the dog Buck. Together with them, John goes in search of gold and his own identity.
