We Are Legion: The Story of the Hacktivists plot
"The Story of the Hacktivists"
Documentary about the functioning and beliefs of the self-described "hacktivist" collective Anonymous. Showcasing the group's complex culture and history, the film examines early hacktivist groups such as "Cult of the Dead Cow" and "Electronic Disturbance Theater." Through interviews with current members, some just back from prison and others awaiting trial, as well as writers, academics and those involved in various raids, the film traces the collective's evolution. From merry pranksters to a mature global movement.
