Spies & Glistrup plot
During his college days, Danish aviation pioneer and bon vivant Simon Spies befriends Mogens Glistrup, who would grow up to be a controversial lawyer after expressing his admiration for tax evaders on national television and calling them the freedom fighters of his day. The film picks up the eccentric pair in 1965, when they meet again after fifteen years, for the first time since their college days. After this meeting, their friendship begins to blossom again, boosted by their successful collaboration within Spies' air company. The money starts flowing, and as Spies uses his newly acquired wealth to push the limits of his personal freedom, Glistrup develops his radical 'zero tax' legislation, attempting to rock the state. the pair in the seven years since their reunion: a prodigious period full of psychedelic experimentation and revolutionary ideas.
