Am Ende des Tages plot

When the stress and strain of the upcoming election begins to take its toll, smooth-spoken politician Robert Janacek decides to spend a romantic weekend with his pregnant wife in a holiday home in the Tyrolean Alps. However, the journey turns out to be anything but relaxing, because they are followed. When Robert meets the stalker at a roadhouse, it turns out to be his childhood friend Wolfgang. Embarrassed, Robert tries to dump Wolfgang in a friendly way. But Wolfgang, who is acting increasingly strange, is determined to confront Robert about the consequences of his past actions.
