First Degree plot

"Even the best cop can be seduced."

Rick Mallory (Rob Lowe) is an ambitious homicide detective. He leads a fast-paced life and enjoys success. When wealthy businessman Andrew Pyne is murdered, Rick conducts the investigation with more than professional interest. He can't resist Hadley, the beautiful and young widow of Pyne (Leslie Hope), and soon a flaming love affair ensues. When Rick arrests one Galeno, a mobster with ties to Pyne, the case seems resolved.
