Boxing Helena plot
"Beyond love, beyond obsession, there hides something beyond reason."
Nick Cavanaugh is a respected surgeon, but totally obsessed with the attractive and playful Helena. However, this woman turns out to be out of reach for him, which drives him to cruel deeds. After saving her from a serious car accident, he takes her home and holds her captive. Here Nick thinks he can fully own Helena, but Helena isn't too accommodating. In addition, his rival Dr. Alan Palmer and Helena's bedfellow Ray get in the way.

I took a chance on this one because the title and poster appealed to me. I didn't really know what to expect, but the film intrigued me. I was curious how the film would evolve. Too bad the ending is so disappointing!!!
The acting was decent, although it was Helena who really stood out. Furthermore, the film still looked good and fortunately it was not too dated.
A somewhat special story, but it managed to fascinate me. Too bad about the ending.

because this is such a wonderfully "sick" film that stays with you.

Mediocre film about a surgeon who is in love with a woman who has no feelings for him. The psychological games between the two could have been much more (the design is good). A rather boring first half. Sherilyn Fenn is well cast and plays her role fairly well in a nice way.
