Amy Seimetz is truly an all-rounder. Can't imagine there's anything she doesn't do brilliantly. Wonderfully grim road movie, which mainly draws a lot from the excellent sound design. Then with Audley and genius Kate Lyn Sheil in the lead role. The way Seimetz keeps the tension mysterious and releases more details little by little is a huge strength of Sun Don't Shine.

As we are used to with this movement of films, the narrative is very thin or is presented in a very unorthodox way. Seimetz opts for both. Very excellent choice, by the way. The instability of Sheil's character in particular is a good intention builder that feels like a ticking time bomb.

So, few votes/comments for this picture. Didn't realize it was such a little one. But ok, you see that you are not dealing with a blockbuster.

Very interesting movie this. It pops right in, I like it. You are immediately put on a path, but after a few minutes you feel that things are different. Man man, the lady in question is a bit annoying, and that is well put down. You sympathize with the kid. I love how the atmosphere is created, long close-up images, clever use of sound, conversations about images. It goes slow, but that doesn't bother at all. Very nice how every now and then it becomes a bit clearer how the cards are laid. No big gestures, everything small. And yet compelling. Nice surprise.
