102 Minutes That Changed America plot

On September 11, 2001, 102 minutes passed between the time the first plane crashed into the WTC in New York and the time when both towers finally collapsed. During that time period, all kinds of things went through the residents of New York. Despite this, some saw it as their responsibility to capture everything on camera. This documentary shows the 102 minutes after the attacks in New York in real time. Amateur videographers made images of the Twin Towers from all kinds of different angles. The horror and confusion of the moment among the New York population has never been so overtly displayed.

Very impressive documentary about the event of the 21st century. I've seen many documentaries about it, but this one was still missing.

Most of the images in this documentary come from people with handheld cameras and their reactions to the intense images.

This is what makes this documentary so different from all the others, who also try to score with countless repetitions of the collapses.

The images are very raw, especially the images of the people who are completely covered in dust are very impressive.

The images are so impressive that you can almost feel the enormous panic of the people inside and outside the towers.

Very strong, more than adequate.

Damn, another impressive documentary about the attacks on the WTC.

This documentary was screened on The History Channel.

I recently ordered the complete box set online.

I think World Trade Center (2006) is one of the few films that was received worse.

The rest of the documentaries and films about 9/11 will grab you by the throat.

102 Minutes That Changed America shows 102 minutes of pure horror footage captured by amateur filmmakers.

Complete chaos in the streets of Manhattan, firefighters fighting the beer quay and people who would rather jump to their deaths than be burned alive in the buildings of the WTC.

4.0 *

It is tuesdaymorning, the eleventh of september, and you will not forget this day!

For me a fairly unknown documentary that I came across by chance and tried it out last Thursday. And my reaction can be summed up in one word: wow!

What immediately speaks for the documentary is the way in which you fall into it, namely quite suddenly, just like the bystanders. So what happens? The pure and raw images of the people themselves are fascinating. No frills, no facts, no voice-over, just the experience of the people present and especially their audible and palpable emotions. The latter in particular is something that grabs me as a viewer enormously. The bewilderment, the disbelief, not yet aware of the chain reaction that would only increase. Then the fear, the will to flee as this drama unfolds. It makes this documentary a gripping story, the heartbeat of an afflicted city.

The images that build up to the disaster are disturbing, it has something unreal, almost a dream/nightmare. The atmosphere and fear of fleeing, the desperation, can be compared well with a film like Skyline or Cloverfield. What is happening? What must we do? Just mad panic and despair, so understandable and so aptly filmed. To pass into ghosts, the towers gone, everything covered in dust and dead silence...

102 Minutes is a gripping account not of the dead or the facts but of the thousands of people present who were nearby and fled in panic. Also, a collective image of suffering and help emerges during this catastrophe with phenomenal footage that once again emphasizes what happened and how grand it all was.
