The Silk Express plot
Wallace Myton expects an increase in the demand for silk in the United States. However, the young enterprising importer Donald Kilgore and his colleagues refuse to pay the high market price of Myton. They therefore order the silk directly from the Far East, knowing that they have no time to lose in keeping to their delivery contracts. The silk is rushed from a ship to the train from Seattle to New York. However, Myton is doing everything it can to slow down this $3 million shipment.
