"Fear reaches out... for the girl next door."
Teenage girl Elissa (Jennifer Lawrence) moves to a new city with her mother. They find out that their new home is next to a house where a double murder has taken place. Trouble arises when Elissa befriends the lone survivor of the massacre, the couple's son (Max Thieriot). It soon becomes apparent that the drama is far from over...

Strong movie. Never thought I could appreciate Miss Lawrence in a role other than Katniss Everdeen, but she also plays the part of 17-year-old Elissa Cassidy very well.

Watched alone and only because of the genre and the young Jennifer Lawrence. It's a pretty face to look at though. Too bad Max Thierot hasn't gotten better as he's gotten older. But yeah.
The movie is PG-13, so don't expect anything scary. The film has picked up on a lot of cliches, but is extremely fun to follow. Lawrence, in particular, takes the film to a somewhat higher level, because she is also just fun to look at.
Not very exciting, sometimes quite atmospheric and a good opening. Pretty mediocre overall, but helped a bit by the cast. There's nothing wrong with it, just watch out. Should have had an R-rating, that probably would have made it a bit better.

Watched this one without great expectations and it was not wrong. Another nice story and also some fairly well-known people in this film. The ending was good too. The playing time was good, not too long and not too short. A fun thriller.
