El Sonido del Bandoneón plot

Portrait of the Argentine musical instrument the bandoneon. In Argentina, the bandoneon is in danger of being forgotten. Old musical instruments perish and few new bandoneons are made. The film shows the struggle to keep the instrument alive. One of Argentina's most famous bandoneon players, Néstor Marconi, is followed during rehearsals and concerts in Buenos Aires, as is Daniel Vedia, who teaches poor students in rural Argentina.
