The Creepers are thrill-seeking urban explorers who love to push boundaries. Their latest stunt, livestreaming from the abandoned Paragon Hotel in New Jersey, is their biggest yet. With its mafia past, alleged ghosts, and rumors of a $300 million treasure, the Paragon Hotel is a magnet for the Creepers, a guaranteed way to expand their fan base. Although the Creepers dare to enter the Paragon Hotel, they face supernatural creatures stalking them from the shadows, testing their endurance, sanity, and willingness to pay the high price of fame.

The horror film "Do Not Enter" attempts to combine suspense and mystery with a modern story about thrill-seeking urban explorers, but barely manages to live up to that promise. The premise, a group of young people breaking into an abandoned hotel for fame and views, is interesting on paper, but feels quite uninspired in its execution.
The biggest problem is the pacing. The first half of the film drags on with little real tension or threat. Only after about 50 minutes does the whole thing start to become somewhat engaging and exciting, but by then my attention has already waned considerably and I was on the verge of turning the film off.
The characters are underdeveloped and remain superficial, making it difficult to truly empathize with them. Their choices sometimes feel forced and illogical, which undermines the credibility of the story. Visually, there are occasional nice moments, especially in the dark setting of the hotel, but even that is not consistently utilized. The horror elements rely too heavily on clichés and predictable jump scares.
The film attempts to build tension with supernatural menace but rarely succeeds in becoming truly terrifying. What could have developed into a gripping experience remains stuck in mediocrity. Even the climax, clearly intended as a highlight, lacks impact and feels rushed rather than deserved.
All in all, "Do Not Enter" is a disappointing horror film that is slow to get going and fails to surprise enough. With a few decent moments, but far too many boring parts, I ultimately can't give it more than 2.0*.

Indeed, this isn't bad at all. A colossally dilapidated hotel where something is clearly amiss; the city dwellers quickly find out what lurks there. The actors perform adequately and the atmosphere is okay; a bit more of an adventure film than a horror as far as I'm concerned.
