Allexander 'Alex' Stream is a wealthy railroad tycoon who is bored during his marriage to Hettie. Hettie has no time for him. She's too busy throwing parties and sailing yachts. Alex starts dating the 'showgirl' Lilly Linda. Things are going well, until Lilly Linda's manager and friend Lou Colima sees his chance to make a large sum of money.
