In the middle of the night the tugboat 'Jenny' is caught in a heavy storm. Captain Mike Turner and crew members Wilbur Hubbard and Celeste Whitman can barely keep the craft on course, but the 'Jenny' is a brave girl. Only the freight has to believe it. The next morning, Turner hears a helicopter from the French Coast Guard and deduces that a ship is in distress. Turner sets out to find a capsized cruise ship. He wants to remove all valuables from the ship to make up for the loss of his cargo. Doctor Stefano Svevo and his emergency team also received the Poseidon's distress signal. Svevo and Turner strike a deal. But it soon becomes apparent that Svevo is not a man of his word.
