Der Atem des Himmels plot
After the death of her beloved father, the attractive Erna von Gaderthurn decides to take a new path at the age of 41. She breaks free from the oppressive grip of her domineering mother, whose noble snobbery has become unbearable. She leaves the castle in South Tyrol, where she grew up, to work in a school in Blons, a small village in the mountains near the Alps. In the late summer of 1953, Erna's arrival in the mountain village at the foot of the Montcalv caused a lot of commotion. The contrast between the two worlds could hardly be greater for her.
