Ba Guo Lian Jun plot
At the beginning of the 20th century, China is an imperial power in decline. As the Western world usurps more and more power, a society called the Boxers revolts. Their members are convinced that training has given them supernatural powers that make them invulnerable to Western firearms, among other things. No, I really didn't like this at all. The whole invasion story, with British, American, German, Russian, and Japanese collaborating? It's all so vague, and the editing is terrible, completely disjointed and completely devoid of logic. I also hate it when the soldiers engage in combat, even though they could easily be shot dead...it's just so unbelievable. Plus, at 2 hours and 23 minutes, the film is way too long.
No, give me the simple kung fu films instead of this historical garbage that makes no sense.
