"Every Degree Matters"
Four friends travel to a cabin by a lake for a carefree weekend. However, they find themselves in a nightmare when three of them get trapped in a red-hot sauna. Every minute counts and every degree up hurts more as they do everything they can to survive. Meanwhile, the sauna is approaching a temperature of 247 degrees Fahrenheit.

As a regular sauna-goer, the ability to empathize is certainly up to par. I am a fan of a getaway with lots of young people, but unfortunately, there is far too little nonsense leading up to it. That is, after all, a significant part of the fun. I also notice, given the number of horror/thrillers I have seen in my life, that the lack of creativity is starting to irritate me more and more, or at least that the films do much less for me. A shame.
Unfortunately, the production value is a bit too low and too little happens in the tense circumstances. The madness is too short and sets in too late, making the denouement feel very rushed. The reason they ended up in this situation was also quite clumsy. Too little inventiveness, too sloppy in execution, and it is clear that my expectations have also grown somewhat over the years.

Based on a true story.
The real story takes us to Georgia, where the filmmakers come from.
The film remains largely faithful to the events that took place at the time.
So we can believe that one of the young people leaves the sauna to go to the toilet, and in doing so unknowingly blocks the door.
He never returns, and cannot remember having locked up his friends.
However, unlike in the film, fortunately no one lost their life in the real story.
They did, however, get stuck in a scorching hot sauna for just over 10 hours.
In general, I am a big fan of films that give a claustrophobic feeling.
The feeling you get in films such as Frozen (2010) and ATM (2012).
The condition is, however, that the execution must be good, and this does not always seem that easy.
The main thing is to keep the viewer engaged, and in an isolated space, you have only limited options.
247°F (2011) handles this reasonably well, but unfortunately it does not reach the level of Frozen (2010)
Still, for true enthusiasts, this film is certainly not bad and deserves a chance.

An interesting premise takes center stage here; that makes this project somewhat more noteworthy than the usual trash Scout Taylor-Compton turns up in these days. However, directing duo Levan Bakhia and Beqa Jguburia spend far too long on the build-up, while the character development doesn't go much further than the usual stereotypes in this type of setting. Once the floodgates open, the tension is heightened somewhat, but it fails to reach true graphic violence or an original resolution. What remains is a cast doing their best and an atmospheric setting that cannot compensate for the overall mediocrity.
