DeWolff plot
The three band members of DeWolff do not hide their enthusiasm when their manager Ron Engelen brings them the big news: they are at Pinkpop, the largest pop festival in the Netherlands. The event in May will be the start of a summer of jubilation for the very young psychedelic blues rockers from Geleen: they will captivate clubs all over the Netherlands, play a sold-out HMH flat as support act for The Black Keys and travel to Budapest for their first foreign performance on the Sziget festival. Director Carin Goeijers follows the band during a tumultuous year. Band members Pablo and Luka van de Poel and Robin Piso do what all rock bands do - they give everything during their performances, drink beers and make flat fart jokes on the bus home - but with Limburg modesty: they don't have groupies but sweet girlfriends, and when they smash a dressing room in a drunken stupor, they are scolded by manager Ron and the next day they buy a new sofa for the owner of the room. Between the lines, we see how their band's sudden success impacts their burgeoning lives, from their relationships to the career plans they make.
