Where the Road Meets the Sun plot
Japanese hit man Takashi awakens from a prolonged coma and moves to Los Angeles in an attempt to escape his traumatic memories. He develops an extraordinary friendship with Blake, the manager of a hotel, who lost his wife through an affair and whom he still misses. Meanwhile, in the same Los Angeles area, illegal immigrant Julio works in a restaurant to take care of his wife and child in Mexico. He develops a friendship with the young English backpacker Guy, who pays all his bills with his father's credit card that he never sees again and has sex with every willing woman in his path.
