Thought it was a good movie. Atmosphere is relaxed (in terms of pace) but is full of mutual tensions. You fall right into the film and nothing is explained, but the tensions are understandable in my opinion. The film is also a kind of coming-of-age. After the loss of the grandmother , the old "balance of power" and balance is gone and a new shaky relationship arises in the middle of the mourning, with the eldest sister taking responsibility, and Sofia (who stays in the house) puts the new leader on probation, she also has an immature/adolescent/rebellious attitude. And the youngest sister chooses to flee. I think the last song also indicated that she wants to go back home. I think you can also explain these different reactions because they all have different personalities.

This is how they got into a suffocating situation for all three where they indeed have to open the windows and doors as the title says, and each does that in their own way. The camera does not go beyond the garden, which, together with the old house full of memories, reinforces the suffocating situation.

In addition to those subcutaneous tensions and atmosphere, I also really liked the cinematography and the naturalness of the film. Although the film has a quiet pace, I was not bored for a moment, during every moment of rest you can enjoy the atmosphere, the images, the dialogues, etc. Over 3.5* as far as I'm concerned, towards 4*. Also hurt me Quemar las Naves | Burn the Bridges (2007) think, a similar film about a brother and a sister in a similar situation and with a similar atmosphere, although that film is somewhat broader than this one in terms of story.

Almost mind numbing film about three (later two) sisters, each trying in their own way to deal with the emptiness in their lives after the death of their grandmother. Apart from a handful of fun scenes and some bickering, nothing really happens. Boring.

I can only endorse most of the opinions here. I do like a slow burner, but not even a flame was visible here. Very tedious print with very little content and a plot that barely gets off the ground. If there is a plot to untangle at all.

We follow three sisters who remain behind in the house after the death of their grandmother. One leaves and what follows is some bickering and childish stuff.

They try to do something alternative by turning annoying shots (with a static camera perspective), but that did more harm than good. Funny I found the scene with the unconscious Marina whose arm fell off the couch several times, where the one guest dutifully wanted to put that arm back.
