"Some move, some die - in Yxared just like in other places."
Fanny, now settled in Mallorca, lets herself and Zac (Alice's stepfather and longtime friend of Fanny's) persuade her daughter Alice to return to Anglagård to discover the truth about who her father and grandfather might really be able to do. to be.
