Swooni plot
In Swooni, the lives of six people intersect in a luxury hotel. As a heat wave creeps up on the city, emotions run high. Anna and Hendrik have it all: an adolescent son, a good job, a beautiful house… Anna's sister's wedding party makes them think about the choices they have made. Hendrik is happy with what he has. But Anna wonders if there shouldn't be something more. Before she dies, Violette wants to reconcile with her daughter Vicky, who works as a chambermaid at the hotel. But Vicky doesn't seem so inclined to reconcile the conflict. She takes care of Joyeux, a small African refugee who is hiding in the hotel from the police. When Joyeux's father Amadou shows up at the hotel in search of his son, the fate of each of these characters becomes inextricably linked to that of the others. Until the rain breaks the heat and brings redemption…
