Juliana in Zeventig Bewogen Jaren plot

This documentary shows the eventful life of Princess Juliana, the only child of royal parents in a small but significant country: her journey to adulthood in the 1930s, marked by the crisis, the flight to England and Canada and the return to the liberated Netherlands. The documentary highlights the far-reaching consequences of decolonization in the fifties and the rapidly changing society and the harsher contradictions in the turbulent sixties. Furthermore, the film elaborates on the period when her children were still small. The abdication is also highlighted.
