A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas plot

"Christmas comes prematurely."

Six years after Guantanamo Bay, Harold and Kumar live far apart with two very different families. Until Harold suddenly stands at Kumar's door during the holiday season with a mysterious package in hand. From then on everything seems fine again. Until Harold accidentally sets fire to Kumar's father-in-law's Christmas tree. The two want to solve the problem and travel through New York to find the perfect Christmas tree, which puts them in the most hilarious situations again.

Bland but at the same time entertaining to watch. As a stoner film it certainly succeeded, although the first film is without a doubt the best in my opinion. (As in most cases)

Well entertained and fine if you're too tired for anything else.

In keeping with the tradition of 80s horror film series, this third Harold and Kumar adventure is in 3D. Director Todd Strauss-Schulson, who made the amusing horror comedy The Final Girls a few years later, takes advantage of this gimmick and stuffs his film with CGI objects flying at the camera in slow motion. Meanwhile, after seven years, Penn and Cho still have excellent chemistry, in a film in which everything goes tasty 'from bad to worse' again. As expected, subtlety is nowhere to be found and the countless adolescent jokes about sex and drugs fly around your ears - often literally. Contrary to my expectations, this third, and as it now appears the last, installment in the Harold and Kumar trilogy was still very witty. As far as I'm concerned, Penn and Cho, along with screenwriters Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, will return soon for a fourth film.

3.5 stars.

Like the two previous Harold & Kumar films, a banal film with mainly adolescent humor. I don't think the link with the Christmas party is very successful. Not my thing therefore.
