"It's your worst nightmare come true!"
Christian returns to the seaside house where he grew up. He is in the company of his fiancée and a couple of friends. As a child, he witnessed his father kill his mistress and then jump off the rocks. His return should help him get over that event, but soon he starts to notice strange things...

Early giallo. The intro starts with a long quote from Freud and then you immediately know what it will be about. Trauma, guilt, sexual repression. The basic idea of this film came from the director's wife, Mara Maryl, who also takes on a role here. It looks low budget but the film takes advantage of the beautiful locations (castle, cliffs). Beautiful b&w photography. The acting performances are ok. The score with that organ is a bit cheesy and immediately gives a camp feeling so many years later. The script has enough spice to keep the attention going with some twists. Fascinating job.
