Lau is a respected writer. He may have a soft spot for alcohol and women, but his books have been acclaimed by critics. Lau's editor, however, is less than pleased and pressures him to write more commercial books. Lau protests, but when he fails to set up a literary magazine, he sees no other option than to give in to his editor's demands.
