Sled again.

It remains as simple as this, those Slee adaptations. All of them, despite the different subjects, are still the same. Relatively unknown teenage actors and actresses, not too strong acting and always those horribly predictable characters. brrr.

Nice that this film puts some fascinating subjects on the screen, for example the teacher Thijs (Bob) was quite an interesting subject to follow, as was Zandvliet's father. Unfortunately, both Hoes and Zandvliet don't play too strong, but they also get a really terrible script.

Trying to be realistic I think, but Slee has to write her characters a bit more humanely on paper. This was just plain unbelievable sometimes, despite this film being a bit more fascinating than the average Slee film adaptation.

Youth film that looked great. I read the book once, but don't remember much about it. I like the story. A typical Carry Slee story, about a social theme. I don't think the acting is bad. I didn't bother with anything. Not a wow film, but interesting, and I think the freerunners are a nice addition. A 7. 3.5*

Occasional heavy drama. For example, when the eager teacher chases that poor girl running through the schoolyard, or when the father breaks down sobbing when he tells about his brother who died in an accident. But luckily in the end everything turns out on its feet.

The acting performances are so so, but still Sven is portrayed reasonably as an insecure teenager; dull and flat. I had hoped that he would beat up his father as ultimate revenge for the suffering he had suffered, but unfortunately in the end everyone understood each other and that pleasure was abruptly taken away from me. Furious is a popcorn movie that has 13 in a dozen.
