Born to Speed plot

The racing driver Johnny Randall falls in love with Tony Bradley. Tony hates car racing because her brother was killed in a minicar race. Johnny's mother also prefers that he does not continue in motorsport; she lost her husband in the Indianapolis 500. Johnny continues to race despite everything, even when he narrowly escapes death from a jealous rival who would rather lose Johnny than get rich. The nerves get to Johnny anyway, but he wants to drive one last race.
