In 'My Father Is a Detective: The Law of 3' we meet the mysterious 14-year-old Mara who has been haunted since her mother went missing. When she asks detective Max to track down her mother, Max's son Sam and his friend Ortwin become very concerned. Max does not realize that Mara is a witch and in the meantime Sterre, the girl the boys are both in love with, is increasingly under her influence. They do everything they can to expose Mara. They end up in an exciting place where strange rituals are practiced, things disappear, and no one is safe.
