"The violent story of Jean Lafitte - soldier-sailor of fortune !"
Pirate Jean LaFitte robs all Spanish ships in Venezuela, but does not touch the American ships with a finger. He fights the Indians and discovers Galveston, in the Gulf of Mexico, where he hides his loot. When one of LaFitte's pirates sinks an American ship unsolicited, he is hanged. Belle Summers tries to find out if LaFitte's man was really guilty, but in her search for the truth, her servant cheats on her. Meanwhile, the US military moves to Galveston, where they destroy the pirates' headquarters. But LaFitte and Belle manage to escape.
