not a high flyer this film, although Hill is someone who can still give a film a pass, that is clear in this film. I feel like sometimes the writers didn't know where they wanted to go. Too often it alternates between jokes that could have been in American Pie as well as movies that come out of The Pacifier with Diesel back then. The children are nice and positively surprise and Hill carries the film with ease. The film is nowhere innovative and despite the fact that the film certainly has its moments, there are still a number of moments when the film comes to a complete standstill for too long.

The Sitter is certainly not Jonah Hill's best, but it certainly isn't a flop. The film certainly has its moments, but it is not the best in its genre.

2.75/5

Quite a nice snack! The film sometimes reminded me a bit of Uncle Buck even though it certainly doesn't reach the same level and Jonah Hill is definitely NOT John Candy
The pace is in any case good and I think that is one of the positive points of this film, nice and short and never boring or slow.

That the guy suddenly had to be gay again because he behaves differently didn't need me to. it felt forced and should have been omitted.

3 stars are in order.

Well.

Not a very special comedy this, from American soil. Jonah Hill is definitely an actor I like, but he always plays the same part. Here too, where he (again) plays some sort of loser who ends up in the wrong situation.

The comedy is a bit bland, but fortunately the film does not last long. The story is entertaining and the children + Hill play quite nice. In short, the film is fine to watch for a while. It is nowhere special and nowhere does it excel.

Great acting, few effective jokes but well made. You'll get through it in no time, if the film had lasted more than 100 minutes, the makers would have really failed in my opinion, but luckily they knew it too.
