“Listen to me. Keep your mind clear. And that's it. You will have peace of mind. My dear, don't worry. Learn to adjust yourself.”

Atmospheric, alienating and original. I spent the whole time watching Another Earth with an indefinable feeling, and the whole time I felt like the story was about to explode at any moment. Especially due to the fact that we are dealing with two different planets, and therefore also with copies of the people we got to know (the people on the other Earth clearly other decisions were made as we see in the final shot).

Or is this a hallucination of Rhoda? In any case, I had the feeling that much more could have been taken out of this interesting fact. Because Another Earth is described as a sci-fi/drama, but for me this is mainly a drama film where the sci-fi element is dragged by the hair. Not a big deal, but do something with it. Actress Brit Marling is very strong and ensures that you continue to watch what happens to Rhoda.

Would call it drama rather than SF. It does have an SF twist, but it's mainly about a woman who feels guilty after causing a fatal accident. She is looking for the man who was in the other car with his family and who was the only one to survive. Quietly rippling film with occasional special camera techniques such as quickly zooming in on certain shots and an image as if it were recorded with a separate camcorder. The SF part is a light background story that does make you think at the end.
