Sharkwise plot
The film is set in the beautiful setting of Egypt, Mozambique and South Africa, where the main character Marc Sluszny and his team prepare the ultimate mission to go diving with the 'Great White', the feared great white shark. The viewer is immersed in beautiful images of nature, both below and above water, and he shares in the experiences, setbacks and successes that the team encounters and has to deal with along the way. Gradually it also becomes clear that sharks are not dangerous monsters, but graceful rulers of the ocean, with their own place in the natural hierarchy of the underwater world. Sharkwise is above all a mental journey, in which the main character and his team are confronted with their own fears and must overcome them. There is also the ecological message of the documentary, which warns the viewer that if humanity does not quickly put a stop to the extermination of sharks, the original balance is in danger of being lost forever.
