Sam Steele and the Crystal Chalice plot

In the era of Peter the Great, a crystal chalice, a priceless Russian treasure, disappears. In the late 1950s, during a visit by the Russian Prime Minister to the United States, the chalice is smuggled to the United States by a bodyguard. Today, Sam Steele Jr. (Jacob Hays) assigned a book report on the Prime Minister's visit. His lack of interest suddenly changes when Mrs. Jenkins (Dee Wallace), the owner of an antique shop, tells him the story of the crystal chalice. Little does Sam know, however, that a Russian undercover agent and a gang of treasure hunters led by Cash (Kevin Sorbo) are also looking for the chalice. It's now up to the Junior Detective Agency's Sam, Emma and dog Doug to find the treasure before it falls into the wrong hands.
