How to Die in Oregon plot
"Would You Want The Right To Choose When It's Your Time?"
In the state of Oregon in the USA there is a law, the "Death with Dignity Act". This law makes it possible for people with a serious illness in a terminal phase, where they are expected to have no more than 6 months to live, to be helped by a doctor to end their life. The documentary shows several people using this option and the family and friends of these terminal patients. Most attention, however, goes to the story of Cody Curtis. She is a woman with liver cancer, mother of two, who chooses to end her life on her own terms rather than the slow deterioration that comes with her illness.
