This is an Italian soap of the highest order and that is meant more negatively than positively. All in all, things are still starting quite well. Some intrigue, some lies and secrets, but all in all still entertaining. The beautiful images of both Canada and certainly the Italian Dolomites mean a lot.
Nazzari gives a solid performance, just like in I Figli di Nessuno (Film, 1951), a similar film that I digested a little better. But as befits a soap opera, all the misery and secrecy are brought to a head and exploited. The ending is super corny and it can't go fast enough. In about three minutes everything is unraveled and all is peace and quiet.
There are a few more on Netflix. What a person is not willing to do for a challenge...
