Der Kalte Himmel plot
"A problem child. A gifted child. A story of unwavering love and support."
The young Felix Moosbacher (played by the twins Marc & Eric Hermann) is a real loner. He listens a lot to the radio, knows the messages of the past year by heart, and can do mental math at lightning speed. He is gifted in his way, but fails miserably on the first test at school. Those around him think he's not that smart, until his mother gives him a psychological test. This shows that Felix has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism. But in 1967 this is still a relatively unknown phenomenon. Only his mother Marie (Neubauer) sees what a special boy he is.
