All Things Fall Apart plot

"He won the game. Now he must fight the battle."

Deon Barnes (50 Cent) is a running back with a combination of power and speed. His mother Bee works double shifts in a bar and when Deon is on TV the cafe is full of supporters. Family friend Eric (Mario van Peebles) is always there to support Bee and mentor Deon. Sean, Deon's brother is also a college student, a hard worker who pays for his tuition from financial aid and a full-time job at a car dealership. The brothers are on good terms, but Deon is unaware of Sean's resentment towards him. Sean works hard to get good grades in school and Deon works hard to get into the NFL. When the team needs a win at the end of the season to secure their position, Deon peps up his team players and helps them win. But the revelry is short-lived when Deon collapses in the locker room and wakes up in the hospital. There he gets from Dr. Brintall (Ray Liotta) is told he has cancer and will probably never play football again.
