The Strange Case of Doctor Rx plot
"FOLLOW HIM -- at Risk of Insanity! FIND HIM -- and You'll Never Return!"
After five men accused of various crimes are killed by a mysterious avenger called "Dr. Rx', Police Inspector Hurd and Sergeant Sweeney ask private investigator Jerry Church to investigate. He takes the case after speaking to the astute lawyer Dudley Crispin, who defended three of the murdered men. Crispin manages to exonerate his client Zarini, but the latter falls dead in the courtroom. Jerry marries Kit Logan who finds the case scary and asks Jerry to stop. He decides not to, because he is threatened with death by Ernie Paul, who is suspected of murdering Zarini and wants to be released. But then Jerry is kidnapped by "Dr. Rx' and he tries to terrify him by tying him to an operating table.
