Nihon Bundan: Heru Doraibâ plot

"A joy ride."

The story follows young Kika, a teenage girl who has been on the run with her father for some time. The pair try to steer clear of Kika's mother and uncle, a deadly duo of psychotic cannibals. But the mother catches up with them, eats the father's legs and sets out to kill Kika, a murder interrupted by a meteor that pierces the mother's chest at the critical moment. Mother takes Kika's heart as a replacement for her own and Kika thrashes to the ground. Then a bizarre cloud of dust spews from Mother's mouth, triggering a zombie outbreak. Finally, Kika is discovered by a scientist who plants an artificial heart in her, which also has power over a chainsaw katana. He sends her back to kill the undead, take down her mother and stop the zombie threat.

Worthless zombie flick at Power Rangers level. Even the special effects are disappointing and the gore factor is so high that it becomes comical. By the way, I think this film is more comedy than horror because those scenes, for example that zombie jet, can only make you laugh out loud. Also for laughs are the zero point zero dialogue and something that should come across as an underlying plot. Hard splatter? bwah yes, the audience that wants more and more and harder will probably get a kick out of this but in fact the attempt at over-the-top gore reaches a ridiculous level because it is all very poorly executed. This B-movie is a tidbit that only lovers of such tidbits will be able to please.

Friendly.

The first three quarters of an hour actually drag on quite a bit. Remarkably only after that the opening credits appear. It feels like that's when the movie really starts. I don't think the music is too strong either. Tends to be too dramatic. It was striking that it contains a sample of An der schönen blauen Donau by Johann Strauss. Now I think this is a very nice waltz, but repeating a sample of a few bars is a lot less for me.

Visually a lot of bad CGI, but we'll have to take that for granted, because even here there are some nice creatures despite the bad CGI. In particular, the zombie who swings her zombie baby (hello Braindead) on an umbilical cord, the zombie with arms on her head with a knife and fork and the zombie plane. Also, I found the swordsman-in-traditional-clothes zombie somehow attractive. Crazy.

In the end I liked Tokyo Gore Police a bit more, I have the feeling that it wins in terms of crazy creations and I don't remember being disturbed by the music. Entertaining as well. 3*.

An unbridled energy that has to compensate for a lack of quality, was my impression after watching

of this movie. Some scenes I thought were cool and here and there are fun, crazy

finds conjured up from the hat, but in general I thought it was just a ramshackle affair,

and in which, as far as I'm concerned, the excess does harm. The persistent playfulness where you

is welcomed with splashing blood, makes the film still quite attractive.
