Ashita no Jô plot
The young orphan Joe Yabuki (Tomohisa Yamashita) is confused and runs away from the orphanage. He runs into former boxing trainer Danpei Tange (Teruyuki Kagawa), who takes him under his wing. Later, when Joe is imprisoned, he gets the chance to fight his way out of prison by winning boxing matches. He also meets the boxer Toru Rikiishi (Yusuke Iseya). Gradually, however, a rivalry develops between Joe and Toru.
