A Match Made in Heaven plot
Helen (Olympia Dukakis) suffers from cancer and does not have long to live. She has one big wish that she would like to see fulfilled before she dies: that her son Tom (John Stamos) finally gets married. She sees a suitable candidate in her nurse Jane (Kelly Rowan), but no matter how she tries to match the two, it doesn't click. It's not until Helen has succumbed to her illness that Tom and Jane end up in each other's arms.
