I Was a Rat plot
One rainy, dark evening, Bob and Joan find a little boy shivering in the street. When the older couple asks what he is doing there, he only says "I was a rat". Bob and Joan decide to take him home and care for him. It soon becomes apparent that he also behaves like a rat, but his new parents don't care. Meanwhile, stories abound about the prince's new love, Aurelia. The boy, called Roger, tells a lot about the palace. He even knows that Aurelia was the kitchen maid in the palace. How does he know all that...?
