I watched it on the advice of glimmerman2000, and well... what can I say? I was a little less enthusiastic than him, but not disappointed.

It can't be called bad, but I didn't think it was a 'nail biter'. Let me start by saying that I personally think it is more of a thriller than a horror. It wasn't particularly scary or exciting, but you still wonder what's to come. Low-budget content is present, you can tell, but it is never disturbing. The cast is not large, which makes it a bit more 'intimate' and therefore you feel more involved with the characters. The acting is quite okay, by the way.

Special effects are a bit on the weak side, just like the music, but otherwise well done. Mediocre.

Very poor indeed.

Although the amateurism is not too bad this time, Nailbiter is simply a very bad B-movie.

A well-known fact, of course with a small variation, but it really doesn't make any sense. Then let's hope for a decent outcome. Nice characters, nice gore, an atmospheric soundtrack... things that can make a film like this fascinating again.

Too bad none of them are visible. The acting is dramatic, all irritating characters (with the low point being that slightly too easy Amish girl) where you don't even show interest in seeing how things turn out.

The effects are also worth nothing. The creatures look ridiculously cheap, the director aims for a poor balance between showing little and showing too much. The effect is often somewhat ridiculous. You shouldn't expect anything audiovisually here either, so what remains is a somewhat silly concept, very poorly developed.

0.5*

horror film that rises slightly above average for my taste, the tension is built up well and the ending is also quite believable (a problem with too many horror films) and allows for the possibility of a sequel. I thought the acting was quite nice, but the special effects were not up to much and were kept to a minimum. Still, I quite enjoyed this film, although it is not very clear to me how the monster came to be. It is indeed more of a thriller than horror. Still 3 stars (almost 3.5 stars)
