The Entertainer plot
"As the applause grew fainter … As the spotlight grew dimmer … His women were younger!"
Archie (Olivier) is the son of a legendary comedian. He himself has to be satisfied with a third-rate theater where he can perform his jokes and pranks. He also cheats on his wife and forces his son into the army. In the end, he persuades his dying father to fund a final review.
