Mandrake plot
"The root of all evil"
An expedition led by adventurer Darren McCall, sponsored by the wealthy Harry Vargas, heads into the dense jungle in search of a jeweled dagger. To do this, they go to an ancient cemetery that now serves as the resting place of a creature that is half animal, half plant. The creature has a thirst for blood and awakens.

Contrary to all the negative stories here I thought this movie was quite good. It was never boring and had a nice story.

Watched it for the first time today, on a Blu-ray!
This film itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't really horror, there was no real gore or jump scares anywhere.
Quite an entertaining film in which a group of researchers go in search of some kind of sword that is hidden somewhere in the jungle, once they have found and grabbed it the misery begins...
They are chased by a tribe and also a large plant/animal creature.
Nice to have seen once, but it never really becomes spectacular and as I said before, no gore, it could have been a bit ''harder'' for me.
The poster is scarier than the movie
