Kyoto Uzumasa Monogatari plot
"A young woman in a committed relationship falls for a handsome scholar."
Higashide Kyoko works as a librarian at a university. In addition, she occasionally helps her parents in their dry cleaning. She is in a relationship with Yanase Kota, a childhood friend from the neighborhood. Kota is the son of a tofu maker and is slowly breaking through as a stand-up comedian. Then Kyoko meets the visiting scholar Daichi from Tokyo, who falls in love with her at first sight. However, Daichi has to go to Beijing for a few years for his studies and asks Kyoko to go with him. Kyoko now doesn't know what to choose.
