Les Enfants de la Chance plot
July 1942. Twelve-year-old Maurice Gutman is taken to the hospital in Garches to be treated for a broken leg. In doing so, he narrowly avoids the raid that will deport his own family. In the hospital he is seen by Dr. Daviel is diagnosed with tuberculosis and receives long treatment. What if that was just a ploy to prevent Maurice from being deported too? Maurice and eight other young residents, together with the hospital staff, will live an unforgettable experience in which friendship, solidarity and extraordinary courage are central.
